The Higher School of Fine Arts & Marble Craftsmanship Panormos Tinos is a part of the Ministry of Culture and operates at the level of Directorate under the General Directorate of Antiquities and Cultural Heritage. The school was founded in 1955 by Law 3136 as the Preparatory and Professional School of Fine Arts of Panormos Tinos, it was renamed in 2025 by Law 5179 as the Higher School of Fine Arts & Marble Craftsmanship Panormos Tinos, and its objectives are the following:
A. The professional education and training of its students in marble craftsmanship, taking into account the Tinian marble craft tradition, the heritage of marble in both ancient and modern forms, as well as the evolution of the techniques.
B. To prepare of students to continue their studies at Athens School of Fine Arts or at other university departments or faculties in Greece that specialize in Fine Arts. It is worth noting that our top three graduates in terms of grades each year are admitted without further examinations to the Athens School of Fine Arts, or the Department of Visual and Applied Arts of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki or other university departments or faculties specializing in fine arts in Greece.
